Can parrots eat celery?
Safe

- Verdict
- Yes — with limits
- Amount
- One or two short sticks, several times a week.
Why
Celery is mostly water and fibre, low in sugar and non-toxic. The strings make excellent enrichment because parrots spend a long time tearing them apart. Wash it well, because celery is one of the crops most often found with pesticide residue.
How much is too much
One or two short sticks, several times a week.
Treats and fruit should stay under roughly 20% of the daily bowl. The rest is pellets, leafy greens and a good chop.
